If you could un-invent something, what would it be?
The cliche answer is television or the internet, but I think they are cliche for a reason. To be free of information machines would be a boon to society, I would imagine, but that’s to say that before the internet and television, society was perfect…and quite clearly that’s not the case. So removing those two elements wouldn’t really be helpful at all. In fact, we would probably just reinvent them. Maybe we have to keep the entire engine running and wait for AM after all. Then, “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” is the reality.
