Daily writing prompt
If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be, and why?
If I could, for a day,
transfer my conscience
over to another mind,
I would choose
a powerful person–
who could change
the world as I see it.
I would fund my profession,
and I would restructure
the ways in which we
educate children and adults.
So that when I came back
to my dumb ole body,
I could continue reading,
and writing,
and carrying on.
